What pet parents say about us

I can’t thank Dr. Kaiser and the incredible team at BluePearl Pet Hospital Kirkland enough for the truly exceptional care they gave my pup, Zen. From the moment we arrived in a state of crisis, Dr. Kaiser jumped right in — quickly interpreting Zen’s symptoms, ordering and interpreting complex diagnostics, and pairing that with deep clinical insight that immediately shaped the right treatment plan. His ability to stay calm under pressure, explain things clearly, and act decisively made all the difference in guiding us through one of the scariest moments we’ve ever faced as pet parents. The entire hospital team worked with professionalism, compassion, and human-quality medicine that you hope for in emergencies like this. Their access to advanced imaging and diagnostic tools, combined with specialists across internal medicine and emergency care, meant that Zen was in truly capable hands. It was clear they weren’t just treating a patient — they were caring for a beloved family member. Dr. Kaiser’s kindness, expertise, and thoughtfulness brought calm to fear and clarity to uncertainty. I am deeply grateful for his care and would wholeheartedly recommend him and the team to anyone who wants top-tier, compassionate emergency and specialty veterinary care.

The service and follow up from this clinic were amazing. Everything was quick and to the point. Although my dog did not have a life or death emergency, we were pretty scared and the vet and assitant were great at explaining everything. I think the cost was pretty fair and I appreciated that they followed up with us 2 days after to make sure my dog was better which he was - after taking the prescibed medication he was visibly better.

Our puppy Leo was parvo + this week. They got him in quick and cared for him for a few days while he recovered. I appreciated the twice daily routine updates we got and how invested the staff was in his recovery. I also appreciated that they found another hospital for him to stay when their hours were changed due to the day of the week. They were also very quick with responses/phones and were pleasurable to speak with! Our little Leo is doing great now at home, he’s back to his crazy self. Thankful for this team!

The best ER Vet I have encountered. Twice they have helped & treated my pups. They have proven they are honest, trustworthy, genuine, communicative give damn about you and your furbaby(ies). I hope no one has to reach out. If you do, go no where else! I only wish they were regular vet providers. My gratitude and appreciation goes to the all the staff and their top notch service. You have my loyalty and business!!!

During my visit all the staff was extremely kind and considerate, even prior to seeing Dr. Mark O'hanion everything was explained clearly and politely. While my budget was limited and some treatment options were outside of my budget, options were given for my budget without any judgement. The initial visit cost was also more affordable than any other Vet ER I called for availability. Dr. Mark O'hanion was courteous and took the time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions without making feel rushed. If my pet ever needs emergency care again I will visit AES again without any hesitation.

I don't wish any pet owner to take their beloved fur-baby to an animal hospital but if you do, take them to AES in Kirkland. My cat, Baloo, was in discomfort Monday night and started urinating lots of blood. I called AES, and they were able to get me in right away. (Due to COVID, it has been incredibly difficult to see a vet, and even AES is operating on reduced hours). It was past midnight, and they took my cat in right away. He ended up needing surgery and had to stay at AES for 2.5 days. Throughout his hospital stay, the staff kept checking in with me - especially Dr. Tungseth was exceptionally kind and compassionate. Also, big shout out to Dr. Minamoto, Kelci, Paige, Laura (and all the other phenomenal people whose names I can't remember) who took their time to make Baloo feel comfortable. I could not be more grateful!!!

Dr. McKeirnan is a true gift. We were desperate for a 2nd opinion after our sweet girl was diagnosed with a terminal cancer and to adjust her palliative treatment to make her more comfortable. Vet offices are so overwhelmed right now that we couldn’t get in anywhere for weeks but by some miracle, Dr. McKeirnan had a last minute opening this afternoon. She reviewed our cub’s medical history from her primary vet along with the recent X-Rays and after her exam, confirmed the diagnosis we feared. Her compassion and knowledge was appreciated more than we can express. Not only did she explain everything about the diagnosis, but clearly laid out treatment plans along with her expert recommendations. We never felt rushed, she took the time to answer every question we had and even offered the most amazing advice to help us navigate through this unbearable journey. The adjustments she made to our girl’s pain meds made a world of difference this evening; for the first time in almost a week she ate her entire bowl of food and was walking comfortably. I will be forever thankful for the kindness Dr. McKeirnan and the rest of the staff showed us and will absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone in need of compassionate, thorough care of their pet in a time of need. Thank you for all your help.

Took my dog in for rat poison ingestion. They were very thorough and got us back quickly and acted fast. Would 100% recommend if anyone needs an emergency vet.

We had the absolute best possible experience with AES when our senior dog started having seizures. They were so kind and compassionate, THOROUGH, and clear in their communication to us. They kept us updated exactly how and when they said they would and gave us a clear plan forward- as two worried, emotional, and confused pet parents this is exactly what we needed. Left with a 3 page summary of the situation and exactly how to support our dog after discharge. Andrea, the tech who helped us when we came in to visit our dog during her stay and also discharged us, was PHENOMENAL. We asked hard questions, she didn’t shy away from hard answers. She gave us such peace of mind and confidence in our ability to make the right choices for our dog moving forward. She didn’t rush us, and she answered questions in a way that gave us clarity. Her compassion and willingness to answer the tough questions clearly and directly made all the difference in the world. We were so impressed with the entire experience and are so thankful for both the vets and the tech!!

I would highly recommend AES to anyone needing specialty surgery for their pet. My dog had cruciate ligament surgery here and the entire experience was excellent. The staff were caring, knowledgeable, and kept us well informed throughout the process. The surgery, aftercare, and rehab support were outstanding!
